Your Instructor training takes place in a fully equipped professional dive environment, offering:

  • Modern classrooms and learning infrastructure

Training is conducted by senior instructor trainers, supported by experienced IDC Staff and Master Instructors.

What You’ll Learn

The Instructor Development Program prepares you to:

  • Teach and evaluate all core PADI courses

  • Conduct confined and open water training sessions

  • Deliver academic presentations confidently

  • Manage student safety and risk professionally

  • Apply teaching techniques that meet global PADI standards

You can also add teaching specialties such as:

  • Deep Diving

  • Nitrox

  • Wreck Diving

  • Sidemount

  • DPV (Scooter Diving)

Prerequisites

To enroll in the Instructor Development Program, you must meet one of the following:

Option 1:

  • Assistant Instructor + EFR Instructor

Option 2:

  • Divemaster + Current EFR

Additional requirements:

  • Minimum 60 logged dives to start

  • 100 logged dives for certification

Equipment Requirements

  • Instructors must own a complete personal dive gear set

  • Full gear rental available at ₹1,000 per day (if required)

  • Mandatory Instructor Crew Pack, including all study materials

Required Fees

  • Instructor Examination (IE) Fee

  • EFR Instructor (EFRI) Fee (if applicable)

  • PADI Instructor Application Fee

Instructor Internship Program

For candidates starting from scratch or seeking full immersion:

  • Duration: 6+ months

  • Includes 100 logged dives

  • Daily hands-on work at the dive center

  • Real teaching, assisting, and operational experience

Ideal for building confidence, competence, and employability as a new Instructor.
